POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Master’s degree required or a proven record of success.
Educational Administration preferred.
Experience as a site administrator and/or mid-management or principal certification.
Knowledge and experience in leadership assessment and development.
Knowledge and experience in facilitating campus and district decision-making.
Demonstrated facilitation skills in large and small group settings.
Demonstrated skill in a variety of staff development techniques.
Demonstrated skill (or maybe knowledge and experience) in the integration of technology into
leadership development programs.
Demonstrate effective job-related skills that model effective integration of technology.
Demonstrate competence with assisting others to appropriately integrate technology into the curriculum.
Proficiency with standard functions within electronic applications such as MS Office (e.g. word
processing, electronic spreadsheets) and e-mail.
Proficiency with computers (PC’s and/or MACs) to include desktop management, file management and
operations, and working in a network environment.
Knowledge or experience in working in special education and bilingual or ESL programs preferred.
Exceptions to these requirements will be considered based on exemplary skills, training, and record of
success.
PRODUCTS/OUTCOMES:
Provide training and feedback for administrators participating in leadership assessment.
Assist in training assessors for the assessment centers conducted.
Plan for and provide a variety of developmental programs in each of the Proficiencies for the
Principal, including Instructional Leadership Development and Professional Development
Assessment System.
Facilitate district- and campus-based groups to move through content in a way that builds capacity in
making effective decisions regarding planning, budgeting, curriculum, staffing patterns, staff
development and school organization.
Partner with traditional public and non-public schools and charter schools to develop leadership training for administrators.
Plan for and provide technical assistance in setting measurable district and campus performance
objectives for all appropriate academic excellence indicators.
Provide technical assistance to clients, as appropriate.
Assist component and division in providing services to clients in the region.
COMMUNICATION/HUMAN RELATIONS:
Communicate effectively and interact professionally and courteously with clients and co-workers.
Build professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
Develop and maintain confidential systems related to assessment data.
Promote the profession through public relations, professional development, and recruitment.
Team with other Center staff within and outside the Division to enhance program objectives.</P>
Demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills.
SUPERVISION AND ORGANIZATION OF STAFF:
None
BUDGET MANAGEMENT
Assist with the development of Component budgets.
Develop, monitor and manage multiple budgets.
Manage the appropriate use of resources to achieve program goals.
Prepare all funding documents and reports and submit through channels in the Center in a timely manner.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Accept other responsibilities as assigned.
Comply with the requirements of the ESC-20 Quality Management Systems (QMS) as detailed in the ESC-20 Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, and Work Instructions.
Function within Center policies and administrative procedures.
Travel independently to fulfill responsibility of the position.
Serve at the will of the Executive Director.
